Start date: Dec 18, 2014, End date: Dec 17, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Miraflores de los Ángeles is a public Center of Elemental and Primary Education under the Ministry of Education of the Junta de Andalucía. This school is located in Málaga (Spain), in an area of working-class where the inter-culturality between students is a dominant reality . It counts of two units per education level. We start from a total lack of experience in internationalization activities of the center. Centerstaff , according to a survey realised by us , has some language training, but in most cases it has left obsolete. Besides, there is an evident widespread interest in improving our educational practice and the inclusion of new methodological approaches. The team involved in the project is composed of ten teachers of different specialties , resulting in an interdisciplinary team, ensuring the presence in all educational levels or cycles of the center. The activities taking place during the two years provided are the followings: 1. Preparatory activity : Classes in linguistic competence in the center. 2. Structured Course " How to internationalize your center." 3. Structured Course "Benchmarking in Finland ." 4. Intensive course " Creative Methodology and Language development" . Regarding the methodology of the project , the activities will be structured based on an active learning approach and immersion in the use of New Technologies as a means for the preparation and dissemination of the experiences . A favourable space for cooperative-learning will be created. Members of the tea with a higher level in englis will support those members whith a lower level, to ensure the achievement of the goals in a shared way. The estimated impact is: * Three faculty members of our center obtained a certificate of qualification and form teams to coordinate sustainable international project for the center (planned for early development of the Project) . * The use of new technologies in education, such as the Digital Interactive Whiteboard , makes up 30 % of the teaching content in class minimum. * That the score obtained in the English Subject on the third cycle of Primary Education ( in which the participants teach) , is increased of 25 % compared to the previous year and decrease the number of failures in foreign language (English ) in at least 8% (including pupils with Special Educational Needs ) . * Previous formation of a team from the Association of Parents of students to develop specific aspects of Internationalization Project , completion of an activity per quarter related to European issues. * Modifying the curricular elements and documents organization and management of the center to respond to an approach where the European dimension prevails . * Introduction, in the planning of each project participant , at least one quarterly session dedicated to impart contents in English . * After two years of the program the number of activities related to the exchange and mobility , has been increased at least 20% among the teachers of the center . * 90% of participating teachers succeed the level of Independent user (B1 -B2 ) selon the Common European Framework of Reference . * To participate successfully in a KA2 activity.
