We want to create a multidisciplinary theaterperformance with about 10 young people (15 -26) in Nijmegen who have a parent or maybe both parents with for instance a drug problem, a mental illness, parent(s) in prison, or maybe they have a parent who past away.The young people are going to talk about their experiences, their feelings, their bond with their parents, what they do to express theirselves, what setbacks they have had and what they did to digest their grief and what they achieved in their lives.Their personal experiences are being brought into a script for a multidisciplinary theaterperformance, where the different stories cross eachother.The purpose of the project is to reach young people who share these fates, to show them that they're not the only ones, to break the taboo, and to give them strength to handle their personal situations.
