The project applicant is The Complex of Transport-Electric Schools in Ostrów Wielkopolski, with Europa Training (UK) Ltd. from Great Britain and Staatliche Berufsbildende Schule Sonneberg – SBBS Sonneberg from Germany as partners. There are 30 students who are enrolled in training for a car mechanic, mechanics and vehicle technicians as well as electricial technicians and electrician. The overall time frame of the project is 12 months, whereas each particular job training visit takes 2 weeks and will be carried out within the framework of a school obligatory work experience . There are 3 training groups (Gr. 1,2 – 10 car mechanic and mechanics and vehicle technicians and Gr. 3 – 10 electricial technicians and electrician). It is necessary because of the training capacity and the size of the partners’ training centers in Plymouth and Sonneberg, as stated in the programme exchange timetable. This also allows to keep the quality of the training exchange.The project main objective is to carry out abroad 10-day long school work experience, to improve quality of education and to transfer innovations in vocational education for students of the Complex of Transport-Electric Schools in Ostrów Wielkopolski, by developing new vocational skills, language and culture competencies. The project objectives is to familiarize the participants with innovations in Great Britain and Germany in the following areas: new developments in auto technology, quality standards, work regulations, conditions and equipment in a workshop, research facilities, use of most up-to-date diagnostic equipment in auto servicing, tools and procedures in vehicle mechanics, as well as the Health and Safety at Work Regulations. Additionally, the students will get to know car mechanics and electricians used in Great Britain and Germany. The work experience will take place in genuine state-of-the-art automotive workshops, as well as Automotive and electrician Professional Job training centres which is, in turn, will provide the participants with real experience of the European work and employment market. Furthermore, thanks to the participation in the project the students will improve their professional knowledge and develop their practical skills, which, as a result, will increase their work competiveness. The participants will get a chance to develop their language competencies, with a focus on work related vocabulary, which will help them to pass vocational qualification exams in the future. The training will be organized at partners training center in Plymouth and Sonneberg, possesse excellent training facilities and equipment as well as experienced staff necessary for organizing the job training exchange and carrying out the project objectives. The partner institutions ensure methodological supervision and training, accommodation arrangements, as well as organization and coordination of cultural component experience.
