Mi vár rám Európában - mit vár el tőlem Európa?
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our project „What expects me in Europe? – What does Europe expect from me?“ reflects our aims very well. The first and the most important aim of our project isto change theory into practice. It’s important for us that the students get the basic knowledge which will apply to the European standards connected with the world of work. Another aim which is supposed to be fulfilled by the students is to watch the activities made by the their co-workers, of course in accordance with their majors. By the means of this activities they are able to familiarise with the details and what’s more, they can check themselves in the new situations. Thanks to that, students get a chance to obtain the global profits of theirexperience. Our students also get to know a different environment, trying to fit in by the way of developing their language competences. The new knowledge in theory, like HACCP and vocabulary are also important. 24 students in 2 groups (12students per group) take part in this project. Their majors are: cook, confectioner, waiter and restaurateur. The choice of the students is determined in a few steps. From the list of the candidates 16 students will be chosen and 4 for the reserve list. They take part in the preparations and are the participants in the second group. These participants also take part in the preparation process which is organised by our school and German partners. The students will be prepared by the means of the linguistic, mental and cultural fields. They will also get tips which will help them to solve the conflicts. The practice of the first group is going to take placebetween 10 September 2014 and06 October 2014. The students and their guardian leave Hungary at 07 September 2014, the guardian is responsible for the control and flow of the information. This group will be welcomed by the German partner in Scheibe-Alsbach. During their first day abroad they will take part in the preparations connected with the use of German language and will also participate in the technical trip to Erfurt. At 09 September the participants will go to the hotels in two groups. In their places of work they are supposed to achieve 160 hours of practical work. That’s how their stay during 4 weeks will look like: 5 days per week, 6-8 hours per day. The participants receive also 2 free days and one of them they spend together. They are supposed to organise their free time by themselves. They can use attractions offered by the hotel for free. During the 4 weeks they obtain the specialised knowledge and abilities which were previously agreed with the hotel through the ECVET system. The students work in their majors - kitchen and restaurant. The important thing about their work is to obtain also other abilities so they can exchange their places of work with each other. In the middle of their time spent abroad they will receive a monitoring visit by their director from the school. He will have the chance to talk with the students, give ECVET pointsand speak with the hotel director and director of the shifts. Then participants receive the partial assessment for their practice. After 4 weeks the students go to the SHW’s object. They receive there the certificates and at 06 October 2014 they go back to Hungary. The participants prepare presentations in the school and obtain the Mobility Europass certificates. The students will be also evaluated by the means of their job sheets, which are controlled everyday by the director of the shifts. This document and another one - teaching practice journal filled in Hungarian ,will reflect the students’ development very well. It’s because of the fact that the process of their work is described there. Thanks to them the students can prepare the reports better and easier. The second group executes their stay abroad in 2015 after agreement about the time of work practice. It will be settled by the partners. The process of preparations, their stay in Germany and rework is the same with this from the first group. After the finalization of project we popularise our experience through a lot of ways. Presentations will be shown during special meetings in our school, also these connected with the professional displays and these organised by the city. We will also place an article on our website. The reports will also appear in the school news sheet. These actions will help our school to become a prestigious school. Thanks to that our school will get a lot of new students. Through the work the students will reconcile the theory with practice in more detailed way. They will become the part of one process. They will also obtain interest in new things and will be more open towards European countries. Moreover, we would like to develop the partnership with the German partners to provide another students with an opportunity to take part in work practice. Moreover, embedding the experience from practice into individual development will lead to the long-term results.
