METOIM – Measure to Improve: How European Labour Union Associations and Firms Can Better Improve through Self-Evaluation

The METOIM project will contribute to reducing the information and communications gap between vocational training and employment. Project partners will develop, test and introduce a user-friendly, interactive ICT tool, in order to enhance existing information on vocational training (multi-context and multi-sector) aimed at employees, employers and trade unions representatives. Beyond this, the project will promote enhanced communication and interaction between the entrepreneurial and social actors and will inform managers and employee representatives upon the importance of improving both the quality of and access to Contionuing Vocational Training (CVT). End project results will comprise a self-assessment tool, namely the METOIM ICT Tool, a web platform providing all project documentation & materials and a set of support guidelines aimed at users of the METOIM ICT Tool. Project beneficiaries include employees, employers, trade union and worker representatives and sectoral organisations (specific to the transportation sector). Dissemination will rely upon the organisation of national and transnational project seminars; the publication of a regular project newsletter and awareness-raising of the project web platform. Dissemination expects to involve relevant stakeholders in ongoing networking activities.
