Sixteen kilometers southwest of Katerini between Olympus and Pieria Mountains in Rachi, stands the rural cooperative Rachi "Saint Luke" that was officially founded in 1991. The foundation, which was created originally by the initiative and work of a producers' group cultivated an area of 350 acres. The cooperative started with the determination, experience, passion and love for rural production, aiming at the production and marketing of fresh quality fruit, the team spirit of the project, the good cooperation with the members involved, and a good collaborative spirit among producers.The proposed plan provides staff training together with the responsible people for production belonging to members of the cooperative. To achieve the determination of the educational content of the project, this is based on observations and records of the administrative staff, in connection with the creation of imbalances between domestic production, administration and marketing and respectively in the production of some more developed EU rural economies that have a competitive advantage.The implementation of activities will be held in Italy, with the participation of a total of 20 participants. Implementation will take place 6 days and will be conducted in cooperation with the host organization, which is expected to contribute a high added value in the proposed project, ensuring the participation of some recognized collaborative and productive organizations, state agencies experienced and skilled technical staff of companies. Within the framework of activities a series of theoretical seminars shall be provided, technical visits, and related activities that will complete the whole exercise. Through the actions of the project proposed detection effort and approach of the quality characteristics and the strategic advantages of a rural economy that has high and adequate development, such as that of the Region Bologna. The ultimate goal is to impart a high added value in the products and to strengthen their penetration in foreign, existing and new, markets.Such features are:a) the integration of both external scientific-technological, and internal administrative-procedural innovation,b continued taking some initiatives collectively and cooperatively. (Consortia),c) the constant and frequent support of the state, but also the commitment both to standardize the process of production and certification of the final product.Potential beneficiaries will be managers and operators of agricultural holdings among the members of the organization. Common ground regarding the educational needs of the participants are:1) the need for access to production-administrative innovation,2) the need for access to new technologies,3) the need for access to scientific research,4) the need for adequate information on certification issues,5) the need for integration practices that ensure quality,6) the need to strengthen the collective and cooperative spirit,7) the need to strengthen the adaptability to conditions that are constantly evolving,8) the need of forming extrovert mentality,9) the need to enhance intercultural awareness.Those who participate will come directly into contact with the production-business environment in the particular economy to fracture and assimilate as much as possible more parameters of its organization and operation. The revision process will be given, diversification and improvement of their knowledge, their skills, to make them more available to increase the degree of assimilation of innovative production and management practices in their work, and the further formation of collective and collaborative culture, to the benefit of strengthening externalization of themselves, their colleagues and the cooperative. Besides the educational activities, the plan includes additional steps to increase the durability of impact, using the European certification tools available.The adoption of the initiative significantly improves the openness of the organization, expanding existing or opening new roads for the transfer and exchange of knowledge. The project successfully, sufficient achievement of educational goals and implementation, identification and dissemination of results, contributing to the improvement of the framework for the organization and operation of the organization, the emergence of supporting the project and the upgrading of the institutional role, impact of persists and clearly after the completion of the plan will be implemented.
