Mesleki Eğitim Öğrencilerimizin AB Üyesi Ülke İşletmelerinde Staj Çalışması
Start date: Sep 15, 2014, End date: Sep 14, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

While the project was being prepared , the needs of our students from both departments have been considered and studies were made accordingly. The main motivation of this project is to provide our students the knowledge and experience which we aren’t able to provide solely through the means of our school through internship. One of the areas which we have prepared a project is Catering Department. In our own school, our students are offered higher level of education compared to the national level however we have limited resources to provide them with adequate applied education on European cuisine. Also as interns in Turkey, they can’t get the adequate applied education on European cuisine. The other area is Cloth Manufacturing Technologies Department . Our students in this deparment are educated on cloth production however they can’t get the proper education especially on design , contemporary fashion approaches and trend management due to inadequacies in curriculum . Even though our students get the proper knowledge on production in our school and in businesses which they serve as interns, they aren’t adequately equipped with on pre- production planning , drawing and molding skills. The goal of our project is to make our students preferable in job market. The participators will be chosen from those who are studying in ‘Catering Department’ and ‘ Cloth Manufacturing Technologies ; Women’s Cloth Department’ at 10th,11th,12th grades. Main activity of our project is intern exchange. It is decided that 11th and 12th grade students who are more inclined would take more place in this project. Participation of our 10th graders will symbolically be ensured to balance their interests towards the field and the school and their demands. 70 students will participate to four planned exchanges.60 students equally divided in two from 11th and 12th grades and 10 students from 10th grades will participate. 60 students from ‘Catering Department’ and 10 students from ‘Cloth Manufacturing Technologies’ will participate to this project. In order to carry out this project succesfully, a board is established composed of experienced teachers and administrators by the school principal. ‘Project Preparation and Administration Board’ will be responsible for ensuring that the activities of the project are carried out succesfully by the participators and the partners. All the activities will be organized or managed by ‘Project Preparation and Administration Board’. Main activities planned in the project ; 1) Our partners in the exchange in city of Barcelos, Portugal in which there will be 15 students from ‘Catering Department’ , 10 students from ‘Cloth Manufacturing Technologies’ and 4 teachers accompanying the students, are Restaurante Os Mouros and Sıdonıos Intimos. The exchange date is from 23/11/2014 to 13/12/2014. 2) Second main activity ; is going to take place in partnership with Quantuxparis, established in Pantin a town connected to the capital of France , Paris. 15 students and 3 teachers accompanying them will participate to the activity. The exchange is from 11/01/2015 to 31/01/2015. 3) Third main activity ; will take place with the partnership of Hotel Prestige Palmera Plaza, located in Jerez De La Frontera , Spain. 15 students and 3 teachers will participate to this exchange activity. The exchange is from 01/03/2015 to 21/01/2015 . 4) The last exchange will take place with the partnership of Europe For All located in Nicotera Italy, a non-profit organization which organizes different levels of vocational internships for those who need it . 15 students and 3 accompanying teachers will participate to the exchange. The exchange is from 03/05/2015 to 23/05/2015. With the completion of project activities, it is certain that our students will gain an experience in their departments which is impossible for us to provide them with the limited resources of our school.During the three weeks time spent on abroad, our students will also gain a very important life experience which many of their peers don’t have. Applied education they will have during this time will also contribute to the businesses they work in our country. The increase in our students’ knowledge , skills and education will be complementary to their education in our school. It is also possible for our students who have never been abroad that there will be improvement in students’ point of views regarding their vocations and the life .It is especially estimated there will be an increase in their motivation for learning a second language. The experience through abroad internship will contribute to our students’ employability and the possibility of vocational promotion in the future.
