The overall aim of the Project is to create positive change in society, where the active participation ensures that each member have an opportunity to live full, happy life and fulfil all their needs. Immediate goal is to provide possibility for the young people at risk of social exclusion by using non-formal learning path to learn useful skills for their social and work life and develop their social skills and strengthen self-esteem. In the first part of the Project informal training program for the young people at risk of social exclusion and poverty will be developed to increase their motivation and social skills development. Programme will consist of presentations, discussions and a quiz, a stylized photo session and exhibition, as well as an open space for young people for informal communication. In the second part of the Project a meeting will be organised on youth volunteering and youth initiatives especially in poverty reduction and inclusive society themes. Young people will be informed about the results of this Project and also about "Youth in Action" programme. Young people will be motivated to think about their responsibilities and opportunities to build a better, more inclusive, supportive society. The Project is implemented by the members of the association "brîvprâtîgais.lv" and volunteers, young people with a little volunteer work experience.In total about 60 young people will be involved in the Project . The Project will take place in Riga, May - July, 2010.
