Mejora de las competencias del profesorado para reforzar la inclusión escolar, la igualdad de género y el emprendimiento en el alumnado
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our Secondary School is located in an area that leads the school dropout rates and youth unemployment in Spain. Nevertheless, the school is part of the network of multilingual centers and carries out European mobilities by developing programs of exchange with students and teachers from different European countries. We also develop a peer tutoring programme among students (TEI) since 2014.The staff of the school and the management team are concerned about the high dropout rate. They are also aware of the necessity to improve methodology and teaching resources to increase the students’ motivation to complete their studies and thus make their access to the labour market easier. In addition, this project will improve the European dimension of our school, the foreign language proficiency of our teachers and the use of the ICTs.Three teachers from the departments of Technology, Economy and Biology and Geology, will receive the training course included in this project. They have the previous preparation necessary to develop the task successfully. The project includes the following activities:− The three teacher mobilities.− Dissemination of the training to the rest of the staff.− Implementation of an e-Twinning programme.− Proposal to the CEFIRE (Center for Training, Innovation and Educational Resources of the Valencian Community) to perform courses in order to spread what has been learnt in the different mobilities.− Chat - colloquium 'The relationship among gender violence, new technologies and entrepreneurship'− Surveys to young girls who left the school prematurely to know their experiences.− Documentary about refugee students in Spain.− Exhibition in wall format showing the following monographic topics: 'Creativity and the ideas' and 'Great entrepreneur women'.− Business dictionary. The assessment of the project will be carried out making the comparative of dropout rates of previous school years with that of the course in which it is being implemented: 2016-2017.In order to attain sustainability, the project will be extended to the other departments. It will contribute to the Erasmus+ KA2 project on which work is already underway and will allow the improvement and the continuity of the TEI project. We will keep contact with colleagues from other European countries through e-Twinning.
