Meeting Point Saxony V is a project being held from beginning November 2015 to end of October 2016 in Dresden and the region of Saxony, which involves volunteers in various international youth exchanges, training courses, seminars, meetings and events. Two volunteers will have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in the areas of Event & Project Management, Cultural Management, Multimedia - Graphics and Web Design, Photography, Filming and Web development. EU citizenship and awareness are being promoted through the participation of the volunteers in multilateral EU projects in the field of arts and culture, digital media, youth participation, urban development, creativity, entrepreneurship, employability, environment and human rights. By involving volunteers from different countries, cultural backgrounds and different age groups, cultural diversity is promoted and equal opportunities are provided. The young people who will be selected are expected to volunteer for a period of 12 months. Thus volunteers will have the opportunity to integrate to the social community of Dresden and learn the German language and culture. The volunteers will work and live in a multicultural environment and will have the opportunity to develop their creative, communication, social and professional skills through non-formal learning methods such as experiential and peer-learning, workshops, cultural events, reflection meetings and discussions , mentoring, collaborative work, audiovisual presentations and excursions. The volunteers who will participate in the "Meeting Point Saxony V" project should have a keen interest in multimedia, arts, youth work, project and event management and should be tolerant and understanding, willing to learn and share their knowledge, enjoying being and working in a multicultural environment and respecting all colleagues and staff. The volunteers should be interested in developing projects contribute to the society and the urban development. Young people with fewer opportunities are given priority. Non-formal learning methods will be used throughout the EVS project, such as experiential learning, self-directed and guided learning by professionals through workshops and exercises and peer learning. The volunteers will be always supported by an experienced mentor who is responsible for guiding and assisting the volunteers in personal and social issues but also with regard to their tasks. The outcomes expected are that the volunteers will improve their skills and competences, they will learn to work and live in a multicultural environment, to respect different cultures, to work in a team and to be aware of EU values. "Meeting Point Saxony V" aims to motivate young people to be active EU citizens and contribute to the development of the society. Be engaging international volunteers in local activities, JKPeV seeks to promote international cooperation between Dresden, its surrounding and other countries so that the local community is more open to international partnerships and gets international influences with regard to culture, arts, digital media and education. Through "Meeting Point Saxony V" more people will learn about the Erasmus+ programme and the opportunities which provides to young people and young people with fewer opportunities. Therefore EU dimension and active participation in international projects get promoted.
