The "Meet the European diversity. Cultural education for all" project will be implemented in the context of intercultural education and lifelong learning, including the elements of art and culture. The activities will be conducted in the spirit of non-formal education and will correspond to different needs of: organization (general development of the organisation, improving and expanding their offer to the recipients by adding international elements, etc..), Volunteer (fulfilling the need of development, the need to acquire and develop key competences, skills and ect.), The local community - mainly Kameleon's recipients but also the local community living in Zgierz (fulfilling the need of contact with different people that the people they know, attitudes need to build understanding and tolerance and being open to other people and to new experiences). Needs and objectives will be realized through volunteer's meetings with Kameleon's recipients, local community, actions they will be providing in the organization - Kameleon but also in the city of Zgierz as well as non-formal and informal education. Objectives of the project include: * promotion of informal and non-formal education through workshops, classes and meetings provided by volunteers for children, youth and adults as well as they way volunteers will learn and work in their organisation * exchange of experience, different points of view of people from different countries as well as the ability to draw conclusions, lessons and inspiration for further actions and activities * participation in the daily life of the society of the country of the project (Poland) and the city of the project (Zgierz), performing certain tasks, and observation and direct contact with people, to get a better understanding of the basis and reasons for cultural diversity * increasing the cooperation between organizations working actively in the topic of youth by this EVS project * promoting EVS projects in general - the opportunities and great results they can give * promoting young people active attitude and young people participation, the desire and need to broaden their horizons, gaining new experiences, skills and abilities on the basis of using non-formal education The project will be realized by two volunteers from France and Italy. The project volunteers will have a chance to improve their competences, skills and as a consequence - to improve their chances on the labor market, while being able to acquire new, international experience and personal development. The project will also be an opportunity for volunteers provide their own project according to their idea with the help and support of organisation's stuff and well-wishers. All the acquired competencies and skills at the end of the project will be collected, summarized, described and presented in the form of a Youthpass Certificate. The main activity of the project "Meet European diversity. Cultural education for all" is a long-term EVS project - hosting two volunteers in the host organization located in Zgierz near Łódź - namely Kameleon Association. Volunteers will learn specific features and Kameleon's working system . One of the volunteers will undertake tasks oriented more on: education, culture and other activities associated with the offer of Kamelelon association to the local community, he/she will also help in organizing a series of cultural events, local events and festivals. The other volunteer will have tasks focused more on the European Information Centre, so inter alia - promoting volunteering and voluntary service, knowledge about and Eurodesk management, promoting volunteering as well as association's activities among the local community. These actions will involve a unique, international approach to the assigned volunteer activities. Volunteer's activities duration will be 6 months. What is more, volunteers will learn about Polish culture, Polish traditions and language. Estimated impact on participants of the project is also raising awareness, expanding the sense of being a European in order to better understand cultural differences as well as to improve the ability to work in an international group. We assume that this effect will be a permanent and will benefit all parties of this long-term project. Volunteers will use gained experience, skills, abilities and resources as well as inspirations in the future. We believe that the knowledge, skills, experience gained from the project will develop volunteer's entrepreneurship, ability to cope with difficult situations and as a consequence - will lead to a positive impact on volunteer's further career plans and will increase their chances of finding employment in the future.
