Start date: Jun 20, 2014, End date: Jan 19, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project is a training course for youth workers, focusing on the youth work specificities, exchange of good practices in the field of youth work, and acquiring the necessary skills and aptitudes for implementation of the Labyrinth Theatre non formal method. Twenty young people from five European countries (Romania, Italy, Ukraine, Serbia and Macedonia) will meet for 10 days in August, in Romania, in order to become more aware of the importance of youth work, and to develop specific competencies in non-formal education methods: namely, in labyrinth theatre. One of our themes is EU citizenship. In the context of the Ukrainian crisis happening nowadays, it is mandatory that the young people understand global issues, and how EU is connected to this. There is a need for rightful information, and for feeling connected in the European field. The objectives of the project are: - to raise awareness about the nature of youth work for 20 youth workers - to gain skills necessary in implementing a Labyrinth theatre - to share experience and good practice among youth workers coming from five different European countries - to develop their sense of leadership and initiative for the future The activities will imply using non-formal education methods, sharing of good practices among the participants, team work, building a labyrinth theatre for the local community during the training, and thus acquiring the skills to develop a labyrinth theatre in the home communities. The group will involve youth workers coming from rural areas or urban deprived areas, and will offer them a space of discussion about the realities from their own countries.
