The Don-Bosco-Schule will develop school curricula for New Media in a two year project, supported by a welsh school. The participation in a ICT course will give orientation in the different fields of media education. Based on the frame of competences in NRW the project will modify the bjectives and methods to special educational needs of mentally handicapped pupils.Different professional perspectives are involved in this project. These are reüpresendted by the participation of the headmaster of the school, the responsible persons for digital learning and new teachers at Don-Bosco-Schule. The project group will develop central questions for the visits and the jobshadowing. The results of each visit will be used to make the frame of media learning more concrete: use of ICT, research with ICT, cooperation with ICT and presentation and communication. The result of the project is media curricula that is orientated in European standards.The project will have positive effects to the professionalisation of the main participants of the prroject. It will have posivtive effects to their motivation and teh experience of creating school developments.The Don-Bosco-Schule itself will enrich its portfolio as European school. The central field of school development will be supported by the experience of European cooperation of schools. The result is a catalogue of objectives and expanded oppurtunities of modern lessons. The pupils will have possibilites to take part in the use of New Media. The use of ICT will support the vocational training, the education of not German speaking refugees and cooperation in European projects.The positive effects of European cooperation will be visible for all groups in school: pupils, teachers, parents and school administration.
