This project aims to strengthen the institutional cooperation and increase the opportunities of interaction between political, economic and social actors involved in the process of developing the local democracy in the Adriatic trans-border area. To put into place such process it is necessary to start up activities such as: the participated development of a general cognitive idea of the local democracy practices, the individuation and monitoring of new institutions of local democracy experimented in the last years in Italy or in the PAO countries, new requests and new key actors of the local democracy, evaluation of the democracy quality in the Adriatic trans-border area, activation of local realities around the constitution of laboratories of local democracy, with pilot actions where to experiment new approaches to local development, new territorial policies, use of natural resources, human and social capital, institutional reforms.
