Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

High School Alfano I includes five high schools (scientifico, foreign languages, human sciences, ballet and music) with a school population of 1400 students, 150 teachers and about 30 units of teaching staff. The students come from Salerno but a lot of students come from others towns, in more than one case even from distant lands in the province. The socio-cultural backgrounds of the students is varied including a percentage of 10% of students from deprived socio-economic backgrounds. The results of the tests INVALSI witness the heterogeneity of the results achieved by the students. The commitment of the school to improve standards of teaching / learning push to formulate a plan for European integration that takes into account the need to improve the skills and methodological-didactic language teachers. Furthermore, the need to integrate curricular and work experience, internships and work-study pushes the school to invest in comparison with other European countries so that teachers can modify their training proposals in the conscious acquisition of innovative teaching / learning methods. The participants (14 curriculum among teachers, between teachers of 3 staff, a school administrator) are identified exploiting the different disciplinary and methodological skills and levels of certification held. These assets relate to foreign language courses to be realized in the courses for certification to be carried out in the EIPASS, study visits, research and innovation in the field of educational-methodological, of raising quality and school organization.
