Manege Mons and Manege Maubeuge join their forces to enhance citizens mobility. By means of actions focused on cultural performance arts, this cross-border platform brings Belgian and French people closer together. The partners set up their respective communication teams to optimise structured cultural communication in the Mons/Borinage/Val de Sambre area. The Maneges project strongly focuses on artistic cooperation and particularly timulates artistic creativity.Through common activities new target groups can be reached and integrated. The partners aim at reaching all segments of the population, including the people who have never before been involved in crossbordercultural activities. Moreover, the project is linked to the project Ill be 20 in 2015. Achievements: - Pooling and structuring of human resources: cross-border administrative and financial trainings for partner staff and socio-cultural sector professionals; creation of a common company journal for both Maneges;- development of a coordinated programme;- production of the M@g magazine, edited by French and Belgian students describing the Maneges activities;- establishment of a common ticketing system;- 19,625 people crossed the border to attend a performance;- 7 jobs created and 4 maintained.
