The Management Skills Program project will develop and eventually seek to commercialise a series of business and management training modules tailored towards heads of radiology departments, specifically in pre-accession countries, where this group of professionals face the challenge of health service privatisation in a particularly investment-intensive sector.INSEAD and three further radiology associations from CZ, HU and PL will work with potential users to develop seven prototype modules in basic business and management skills in EN. Course materials and case studies will be piloted, evaluated and introduced in paper-based and CD-Rom versions together with supporting e-learning materials. The medium selected is suited to the nature of current IT equipment in hospitals in the target countries. Following this development phase a full evaluation report will be produced.Three thousand copies of the end work package will be produced by the project in CZ, EN, HU & PL and INSEAD will undertake to promote the package and its methodologies to professional associations in Europe through e-mailings and via presentation at relevant seminars/conferences. Remaining partners will distribute the package to hospitals and radiology societies in their respective countries. Longer-term commercialisation will be addressed by the partnership and agreements with the project partners considering issues such as Intellectual Property Rights and Copyright relating to the end results.
