Man in the Mirror

The program ""Man in the Mirror"" took place in the city of Ghent in Belgium. The main topics of the training were: personal development through outdoor activities, informal learning and developing enterpreneurship skills. The objectives of the training were: improving self-awareness, self-knowledge, to pool expertise, social and communication skills. All this in relation to develop the human capital of the youth worker and to expand themselves so they can discovered their talents and go home with a concrete action plan. Achieving those goals has led youth workers gained the knowledge to fight poverty and youth unemployment. The duration of training was 10 days, including two days for traveling. Man in the Mirror is a multilateral project with participants from seven countries - six program countries (Bulgaria, Belgium, Croatia, Poland, Italy and Romania) and a partner from Eastern Europe and the Caucasus (Georgia). The total number of participants was thirty-three (33) - Four people from the partner countries - Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Poland and Georgia, three from Croatia and six from Belgium. Furthermore, the project was reinforced by a trainer and two support staff from Belgium and a trainer from Bulgaria. The activities included outdoor activities (hiking and other assignments), self-reflection, team building activities, trust games and open workshops on personal development and entrepreneurship. The informal learning methodology was the central tool to improve communication skills, social skills, entrepreneurial skills, intercultural learning and creating awareness of intercultural democracy.
