The project was conceived, prepared and will be implemented by a group of young people involved Maltese organizations from Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Albania and Slovakia. The project is a youth exchange around the theme of volunteering assistance during events. During the exchange, participants will take part in workshops, trainings, discussions and demonstrations that will prepare and run by the participants. Each of the national groups will organize activities related to the culture and history of their country during the exchange. Another reason why young people want to get together and work together is an opportunity to make new contacts and friendshipsThe occasion for the organization of youth exchanges in the exact days are World Youth Day in Krakow. It will be one of the biggest youth events of this decade in Europe, which is going to come nearly 3 million young people from all over the world. Exchange during WYD and support leaders will give participants the opportunity to test themselves in action. Young people are using their new knowledge and skills to volunteer during WYD. The participants are taking part in about 45 hours of training, workshops and thematic meetings. Participants will spend 25 hours. to prove themselves in action during assistance volunteer.40 participants and 4 leaders are taking part in the project. Participants and leaders will live and work together in a tent town prepared for other Maltese volunteers and scouts. This will further strengthen the value of building a community of young people from different countries.Trainings and workshops in the areas of first aid, support people with disabilities, service field kitchen, management and communication within the team, preparing press releases etc will be conducted within the first 3 days of the exchange. Each group will prepare a national meeting which will share its experience related to volunteering, eg. A group from Ukraine is going to tell and show pictures from the action of its field kitchen during the democratic protests in Kiev's Maidan.The participants are taking part in integration activities, classes on the history and culture of each country over the next 6 days. The participants as volunteers will take part in planned work related to assistance for WYD participants, especially the disabled. Participants will also support the service tent town. The last two days will be devoted to the evaluation, integration and summary of the exchange and the planning of future joint initiatives.
