The MALCOLM project (Mapping Assisted Living Capability Over La Manche) aims to undertake a mapping exercise of the e-health needs and resources in Basse-Normandie and in South-East England, with a specific focus on assisted living. The analysis will target the needs of two similar groups in France and England: retired people aged between 60 and 75 - 65-75 on the UK side – and people aged 75 and over. This target audience was chosen for reasons that are common to both sides of the Channel: an ageing population, a longer life expectancy and the isolation of some coastal communities.
