Making Cross Cultural Friends will be aimed at disadvantaged learners from each of the partners countries, and will give them the opportunity to become involved in a European project aimed at increasing their cultural awareness and helping to reduce barriers presented by the lack of understanding. The Partnership will achieve this by offering 3 activities for which the learners will be involved:Learning packages will be produced by each country involved, and will be designed as a teaching and learning resource that can be shared between partners to allow for cross cultural learning to occur prior to mobility’s. These packs can also be used internally for when working with migrant groups.Mobilities will be organised in 7 countries and partners will bring a group of disadvantaged learners to each mobility , allowing for a great mix of cultures to come together and experience first hand other cultures. Mobilities will be focused around areas of interest and will include a mixture of social and learning opportunities.A Pen Partners scheme will be developed initially between the partners and then expanded to others interested, this will allow learners from each country to exchange intercultural dialogue in the form of electronic or paper based communication.
