This project aims to prepare young people with skills needed for employment, and aims to tackle unemployment issue’s and employment criteria’s, by making young people more aware, by practicing the skills needed to work towards a goal with a team and keeping with deadlines as a whole team. An unused spare room at the Salesian Oratory in Sliema, will be turned into a sound proof music rehearsal space, that can hold different activities, of different nature. Young people will be making use of this space to explore further their knowledge in music with the help of professional instructors, and by sharing and learning from each other. During this phase participants will be discussing all options, and voice their opinion regarding, materials, design options, work needed, and so on and so forth.2. Implementation phase: in this phase the group will work according to the plans made in the previous phase and start developing the music space. With the help of mentors and the project coach, participants will start the construction needed.3. Evaluation phase: this phase will help participants understand better how to evaluate a project. By looking at the outcome of their planning and implementation phase, they will discuss the whole project and evaluate if the skills that we wanted to convey to the participants, will be conveyed as planned. The number of participants in this project is 8 and the total duration of the project is 124 days, but the outcome of the project (the music space) will be used by many young people for many years to come.
