Grone Netzwerk intends to perform a mobility project for apprentices in their first vocational apprenticeship within the next two years.
At least one half of the participants belong to the target group of apprentices that need special educational needs in their first apprenticeship. They pass their apprenticeship in industrial or technical professions as well as in service occupations. Therefore, we, Grone Netzwerk Hamburg or another bearer, are their training company for the first half of their vocational training. We impart the practical contents of the apprenticeship in cooperation companies, which should offer a job as far as possible while we support the apprentices to achieve a successful graduation. The mobility project aims the target to encourage key qualifications of people who need special support in their educational career. Accompanied internships in foreign countries increase the understanding of strange work processes and social abilities, support social competences and expressive powers and extend individual courses of action and their decision-making abilities. A willingness of adolescents is empirical proven which is important for their future job seeking. We pursue the concept to begin the internship in foreign countries with a short settling-in period but completing the focus in the chosen company. During the phase of application for this internship we support the adolescents with the creation of the Europass curriculum-vitae. After this stay every apprentice gets the Europass mobility where activities during the internship are described in detail and acquired skills are illustrated. Additionally, the companies will issue a skilled employment reference.
The project should take place during the time of the end of the first year of training, alternatively the beginning of the second. After summer holidays the apprentices often pass over to the operational apprenticeship, furthermore getting coaching and remedial teaching of Grone Netzwerk. Because of this concept we have the opportunity to let the preparation and post processing happen in our institution.
At the end of the apprenticeship we offer help to the adolescents reporting in an appropriate written or oral way about their experiences during the internship.
