"Mądrość jest córką doświadczenia"
Start date: Dec 31, 2014, End date: Dec 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project "Wisdom is the daughter of experience" provided 15 students from the School of Engineering (upper secondary school) with training in order to help achieve their aim of working in the field of logistics. The subject, plan and the substantial scope of the project resulted directly from the schools co-operation with the host organization. The goal we set ourselves for 2015 was to start an internship working in partnership with the local international companies. The results of this partnership were: the students gained invaluable experience working as logistic technicians. It is worth noting that similar projects often include students from other EU Member States - Belgium, France. The result was a project which offered the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge, qualifications, experience and skills in the field of logistics. In addition, local multinational companies such as Famak, Rialex and Cuprod were consulted during the project planning stage. The project responded directly to the needs of organizations providing an education of the skills required by employers. The presented project integrated seamlessly with school policy. At school level, this task is realised through improved teaching methods and modifying teaching programs. The student had contact with modern technologies and the acquisition of practical skills at work has been achieved through the organization of internships abroad under Erasmus +. The students who took part in the project have gained technical skills, learnt in a natural environment and have developed their knowledge and skill set allowing them to be competitive in the labour market in the future. Students have also acquired knowledge and skills which are still a niche sector in our country, thus increasing the chances of finding the employment immediately after graduating from high school. The major objectives of the project that have been implemented include: the acquisition of a broad spectrum of professional competence in the field of logistics, knowledge of technological facilities, forwarding, storage and organizational logistics companies, acquisition of knowledge and skills in implementing specific solutions including stocks and storage, transport processes, freight forwarding services, production planning and distribution, logistics, procurement and production. By participating in the project, students raised their competence in languages. Both English and Spanish were spoken and particular emphasis was placed on vocabulary training. The students acquired a whole range of interdisciplinary skills e.g. the ability to work in an international group project. They learnt the rules of organizing work in companies with the logistics industry in Spain. They gained the ability to organize and plan work appropriately. By participating in the project, students raised their self-esteem, are more confident, and thanks to the certification process have acquired the knowledge and skills to become competitive in the international labour market.
