The project "Lost and found in Pelci castle" is a 9 months long European Voluntary Service activity involving partners from Latvia, Georgia and Spain involving 2 volunteers. The aim of the project is to foster the intercultural dialogue in Pelci community by involvement of European volunteers in local cultural heritage study and work with youth and children. Project will take place in the Western region of Latvia, Kurzeme, Pelci parish of Kuldiga district. The main tasks in the project are :To provide mutual culture exchange between the hosted volunteers and the local community.To enlarge the scale of educational activities for Pelci children and youth.To promote the learning and use of foreign languages between Pelci inhabitants by providing the language learning opportunities.To create and maintain virtual database of Pelci historical and cultural patrimony by digitalization of the available material. Both involved volunteers are keen on organizing non-formal activities for all generations but specially focusing on kids and youth: Spanish and English language clubs with games, movie nights, Georgian dances, painting and music workshops as well as outdoor activities and photography. One of the particular tasks offered by the hosting organization is a digitalization of the historical heritage of Pelci parish that will serve as a good and long-lasting result of the project.
