Students from Technical School of Logistics in Zakład Doskonalenia Zawodowego in Bielsko-Biała take part in the project. The students are going to continue their education in 2015/2016 in second and third classes. Spain was chosen as the place of their internship. The total number of participants includes 20 people. The internship should be completed in 2016. The subject of foreign practices involves apprenticeship in logistics companies, a Spanish course and exploration of surrounding areas. The main aim of the project is to make education more attractive by expanding 20 students' knowledge and skills. The students are sent by Zespół Szkół w Bielsku-Białej ZDZ w Katowicach. They study such specializations as logistics technician or freight forwarding technician. In addition to the knowledge and skills provided by logistics and freight forwarding technician training program includes: - Improving knowledge, skills and professional competence of students who study logistics and freight forwarding, especially the practical execution of logistics tasks in cooperation with Spanish TSL- sector companies. Tasks that involve the choice of transportation, road traffic studies, the evaluation of city infrastructure, etc. - Studying about daily tasks performed by transportation and forwarding employees, - Practicing a foreign language, - Increasing the attractiveness of vocational education, - Helping students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills in order to enhance their competitiveness in the labor market, - Developing students' skills necessary for their future work, including teamwork, organizational skills, networking and negotiating, - Deepening and broadening students' theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom by teaching them the practical sides of the labor market, - Broadening students' knowledge about the principles and mechanisms of functioning of European companies and institutions, - The acquisition of a foreign customer service skills, - The opportunity to observe the work of professionals and the employment condition in the European labor market, Internship program responds to the requirements of the European market and nowadays' TSL sector. Expected results: - The ability to identify, and if possible, to use modern devices which are used in transportation and shipping, for example: DIAD devices, GPS, barcode readers, etc. - The ability to carry out the logistics tasks eg. choosing a supplier, creating a survey in order to evaluate the quality of transportation services, transport and road traffic study, the implementation of the forwarding services, etc. - Broadening of logistics and freight forwarding students' knowledge - Obtaining a certificate confirming acquired skills, - Preparation of a report "Evaluation of the quality of transportation services on the example of the city of Granada" and a catalogue with pictures and information about the internship. n addition to the knowledge and skills provided by logistics and freight forwarding technician training program includes: - Improving knowledge, skills and professional competence of students who study logistics and freight forwarding, especially the practical execution of logistics tasks in cooperation with Spanish TSL- sector companies.
