Logistics Skills Transparency (LIST)

The European 2020 Strategy puts a strong emphasis on education and training to promote smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. The forecast of future skill needs show a greater demand for medium and high level qualifications up to 2020 (EU Commission 2009).The Member States of the European Union still have different approaches in defining knowledge, competencies and skills in the transport and storage services sector. The certification of training or of qualifications is variable, depending on variations in the recognition of knowledge and skills which are required to competently undertake a professional role in the different member states. General Objectives:1. Enhance the approach used in the previous Transfer of Innovation project CENTRAL by adopting its working methodology2. Apply it to the two selected jobs; Warehouse Manager (pharmaceutical logistics industry) and Freight Handler 3. Adapt and create the occupational standards for both of them4. Design educational standards using the ECVET principles 5. Establish transparent Learning Outcomes using the EQF (European Qualifications Framework) descriptors knowledge, skills and competencies, taking into account the NQF (National Quality Framework)6. Coaching of national VET (Vocational Education and Training) providers Operational Objectives:1. Based on the Warehouse Operator qualification framework level 3, develop a Warehouse Manager Qualification framework level 52. Warehouse Manager occupational standards creation (define a job description taking into account its environment) 3. Freight Handler occupational standards creation (job description taking into account its environment) 4. Develop a Freight Handler qualification framework level 3 The consortium is made up of five partners: CRP Henri Tudor (LU), AFT (FR), ITL (IT), RDA (SK) and BASD (BG)
