* This project will examine the managerial expertise, knowledge and know how of professionals and entrepreneurs operating in the tourism and leisure industry within the region identifying skills gaps and skill competence. * The project will design and develop a series of programmes of study specifically targeted at sustainable tourism and leisure which will build into fully, joint accredited (ECTS : European Credit Transfer System) awards utilising, a bi-lingual virtual learning environment, discussion boards and workshops where practioners from the industry across the region can exchange their knowledge, expertise and engender collaboration. * The purpose of this is to improve managerial skills and expertise, encourage collaboration, foster mobility, educate and train the workforce in such away as to enhance the attractiveness of the region to visitors and investors and engender sustainability in the respective tourism and leisure industries.
