LOCAL ART
Start date: Aug 22, 2016, End date: Aug 21, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The European voluntary project proposed falls within the area of TACC Community Art, focused on the development of socio cultural skills through artistic projects that promote the values based on civic and human rights, peace, democracy, respect for the environment and solidarity. Volunteer will work on the basis of her own motivations for the projects proposed by the association for this period: Espai Jove L'Hotel (managing, designing, energizing activities and workshops for non-formal young groups), MCN challenges (organizing social projects under MCN international network) and DANSAls Valors (a project with young people aged 12 -16 years that works on social values, using dance as a tool of expression). The aim of the project is to provide the necessary tools to the volunteer so she can develop art projects as a tool for developing socio-cultural skills, and acquiring at the same time her own capabilities in terms of personal, social and professional autonomy to enable her to emancipate. The young will be able to participate in the actions according to her interests and needs, participating in this case more directly supporting the logistics organization as well as providing support for the coordination of the artistic activities planned in the Espai Jove Matadepera and even energizing two sessions weekly in the same space. Since TACC is an association that fosters creativity, we will encourage the volunteer to develop a personal project within this line of action so she can drives one or more activities within the framework of art as a tool for developing socio-cultural skills, taking advantage from the acquired knowledge. Therefore the project also intends to promote the acquisition of skills through non-formal and informal education. Likewise, volunteer will participate in training activities before volunteering (cultural and linguistic) and during volunteering (linguistic, logistical and organizational functioning of the association and its projects). The volunteer is a young 20 years old girl with sensitivity for the youth work and a great interest in art, particularly in dance and theater. That is why the projects assigned to her tasks are related to these artistic disciplines. She is motivated to learn about the workings of a youth and artistic association and eager to live a long term international experience. The project is presented together with the French Pavillonnaise Association pour la Jeunesse et la Culture. They have an extensive experience in the field of mobility of young Europeans (notably the European Voluntary Service) and a great affinity with TACC. Likewise, the organization promotes the creativity of young people, and also organizes artistic and social awareness activities, so they will be a key supporting actor in the prior preparation of the young as well as supporting and guiding her from distance in the activities she realize. Since the proposed activities within COMMUNITY ART department are addressed to local young people It is also foreseen that this project will benefit local community; and also it is expected to benefit the partner association with which the volunteer has collaborated for years and, therefore, she may help in the implementation of art programs as a tool for developing socio-cultural skills thanks to the knowledge acquired during the volunteer coordination. Finally, this is a project that will have a positive impact on social cohesion and awareness of the communities where the project will be implemented. It will have a positive impact as well on the perception of European Voluntary Service as a training tool for youth empowerment and it will enhance community action. The project will definitely have an overall positive impact on the perception of art as a tool for developing socio-cultural skills at local, regional, national and international level, through dissemination channels proposed by TACC.
