Start date: Jan 1, 2015, End date: Jul 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The topics of our project are the unemployment of young people, competencies needed for employment, and development of the knowledge of participants in order to increase their chances on the labour market. The topic is coming from our former youth exchange where many questions were raised regarding the labour market and the participants shared their negative experiences regarding it. Surveys in Hungary and the EU confirm their concerns, as unemployment and insecurity are the most worrisome for European young people nowadays. The topic of our YE aims to reflect to the questions and assumptions of the young people by offering them a well-planned mentoring service and building an empowering process during the exchange. We aim to involve 32 young people aged between 16-25 with the following profile: • they are at the beginning of their career • uncertain about which faculty should they choose • students in the higher education • job-seekers without previous experience Our aim is to explore the labour-market and economic tendencies through the competencies and knowledge necessary on the labour market, by using non-formal education as a tool. Participants are going to organize the workshops together for which the mentors (group leaders) give all necessary support. While the topics of the workshops are set, the methods and the way it’s going to be explored are completely up to the participants. Competences the project is going to develop: social competences, self-confidence, assertivity, communication competences, conflict resolution, stress management. Participants are going to produce an advertising spot about their experience and gained knowledge, which is going to be widely disseminated.
