LITTLE ARTISTS AMONG EUROPE

The title of our partnership is “LITTLE ARTISTS AMONG EUROPE". The aim of the project is to create a stronger sense of both National and European identity through the Arts. The objective of the partnership is to collaboratively create a ‘virtual museum’ online for all partners to share work of Art from their countries, as well as work created by the students. For the pupils the project will be an intercultural initiative enabling them to (re)discover their own national art history and that of their partner countries, as well as enriching themselves through the discovery of similarities and differences during both ancient and modern periods. Students will equally present their own town or village, region and country. It will also give pupils the opportunity to undertake the production of visual art, to communicate/publicize their work by uploading it onto the website, to look at work produced in other countries and to use the techniques suggested by other students in order to reproduce or interpret their work. Finally the project will also consist in mailing both in English, the common language amongst the partners, and in their mother languages. This correspondence will be carried out by small groups throughout the entire project either via the internet or post (mail art). The project is a very interdisciplinary project because children will be able to work in subjects such as: English, ICT, Arts, civics, language, writing …The activities will be integrated in the work daily curriculum and some of them will lead the topics of general events of the schools (special days, feast …)Worked out materials will be made accessible on websites. The project will be disseminated periodically by the teachers in each school and by the schools coordinators during the mobilities. Our Romanian Partners did not take part because their application was not approved by their National Agency.
