Literacy and Adult Basic Education with Information Technologies

The project “Lit-Tech” concentrates on the transnational exchange of best practice to improve basic literacy and numeracy skills of adult learners with illiterate background by use of ICT based didactical approaches. Educators in adult basic education should be attracted to use ICT based instruments and methods to facilitate formal and informal learning for the special target group. Therefore the project will also assess required competences of educators to apply ICT-based pedagogies. This will result in an increased number and range of learning opportunities for learners and teaching opportunities for educators. ICT-based instruments and methodologies addressing the special needs of the target group will be evaluated and combined in a collection of best practice.
