LIT: Learning to Learn and Learning to Teach - ICT in Business and Vocational Training

The LIT project aims to develop a teacher-competence development model to facilitate the timely and effective provision of emerging needs for ICT skills in local SMEs and thus prevent skills bottlenecks. New methods of co-operation between vocational training and SMEs will be established and a series of tools created for the effective training of teachers and counsellors.Collective and individual dialogue between the partnership's vocational training institutions and SMEs will be stimulated through an initial enquiry on customer needs. Further project activity will focus upon the development of a manual for teachers and counsellors covering issues such as: development of new ICT training for local SME customers; design and delivery of training and learning processes (based on the needs analysis) and in-service learning modules for the delivery of different combinations of ICT learning. The manual for teachers and trainers will be published in EN on both paper and CD-Rom. Vocational training networks will be kept informed of project achievements throughout all stages of development with end results being promoted through newsletters, through articles to relevant press and journals and via a series of five national conferences in DK, CZ, LT, F & S.
