Levy distributions for the study of predictability indicators, with impact on regional development (LEDIRE)

The project targets the scientific foundation of the Levy distribution processes and their role in modelling the main indicators of economic development, organizing training in innovative methods of research for researchers and exchange of experience between the researchers of the partner universities in the project.The project aims at building an alarming culture for protecting investment decisions from risks at companies level based on sustainable decision making processes regarding investment in the companies from the euroregion from Bihor – Hajdú Bihar. A no. of 10 companies from Oradea will benefit from the implementation of economic -financial indicators modelled using Levy processes in order to test the research results. A no. of 10 companies from Hajdú-Bihar will benefit from implementation of economic -financial indicators modelled using Levy processes. Also, within the project was elaborated a manual on Using Levy distribution processes in modelling economic and financial indicators of companies , published on the webpage of the partners.The main activities of the project are: scientific foundation of the Levy distribution processes and their role in modelling the main indicators of economic development, constructing economic and financial indicators by the use of Levy distribution processes, testing the research results in the selected companies through implementing the indicators for studying the feasibility of investments and risk management in companiesDirect beneficiaries of the project are: 10 researchers and 20 companies from Oradea and Debrecen. Among the project results: 10 research reports elaborated, 2 workshops organized, 200 manuals printed.
