Let's start the EVS adventure!
Start date: May 1, 2015, End date: Oct 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Kreisjugendring Würzburg has decided to host the first european volunteer. The organisation would like to start with international projects – EVS but also youth exchanges. They want to deepen their partnership with Olmutz (in Czech Republic) as well as with other countries. The KJR has no experience in international projects but with the support of the Jugendbildungsstätte Unterfranken (as EVS coordinating organisation) they want to start new projects. In KJR's Team work former volunteers who already lived abroad. From July 2015 they would like to host one European volunteer from Czech Republic in the office of Kreisjugendring Würzburg. They have already chosen the volunteer – a girlc called Milka Mazakova from Olmutz (partner county). The volunteer is still studying social work and is interested in the youth work in Germany. She has already met the team of KJR and seen the project's environment. The preparation of the project has already started before the working on the application as well as the cooperation with the sending organisation Zeměkoule/The Globe. The aim is to bring the intercultural learning to the work and member organisations of KJR. The volunteer from abroad should show the organisation the meaning of European awareness. The volunteer should support the every day work in the head office of KJR as well as each projects (like Juleica, „Jugendarbeit macht Schule“) and the member organisations. The longterm plan is that KJR will implement more international projects – once a year an international youth exchange and one european volunteer for 12 months. The volunteer should get involved in different youth organisations, get into the network of other volunteers from the region (Unterfranken) and to get to know other inhabitants of the city of Würzburg.
