Let’s Bridge The Gap! (LBTG) is a training course under Action 3.1 of the YiA, that will be hosted by CESIE in Palermo, Italy in a course of 9 days. The TC will involve 42 participants from 15 EU&EECA-Eastern Europe&Caucasus countries (Italy, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Netherlands, Ukraine). TC will promote the sharing of best practices in the field of youth work. The project promoters shared the recognition of the increasing need to tackle the existing ideologies & stereotypes on sexuality-related issues among youth in different local contexts in the attempt to build a more inclusive EU society. According to ILGA (Equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans & intersex people in Europe) studies of legal situation for LGBT people, some EU & EECA countries are among less scored.The activities will employ different art & media tools(Visual arts, New Media, Performance) & non-formal educational methods for expressing participants’ views on sexuality, multiple discrimination, stereotypes and LGBTQ rights issues and raising awareness about multiple identities and the diversity. Pax will focus on different methods to work with young people at risk or victims of single & multiple discrimination. Objectives: 1)to analyse the stereotypes &ideologies on sexuality-related issues; 2)to promote democratic & EU values, active citizenship, non-formal education and human rights in the fight against prejudices and all attitudes leading to exclusion &marginalization; 3)to tackle sexuality issues proactively by including youth leaders and youth organizations & promote awareness; 4)to support young people’s personal development and promote inclusiveness of youth service for marginalized groups – openness, dialogue, commitment of equality and tolerance, acknowledgement of diversity.
