The project "Let's break stereotypes - draw graffiti" implemented 10 months (01.05.2015-28.02.2016) in Daugavpils, Latvia. The main project themes were art and culture, cultural heritage, stereotypes, intercultural communication, youth leisure. The aim of the project was using graffiti art to promote young people's active participation in society and tolerance towards different cultures and social realities. The project activities phase lasted for 9 days (from 19 till 27 Aug 2015) and there participated 27 youngsters from Austria, Bulgaria, Czech, Romania and Latvia. During project activities participants had the opportunity to learn the techniques of street art and to create their own masterpieces, to present the graffiti works founded in their countries, to work and communicate with each other in the informal atmosphere, to participate in discussions, express their re-look at how cultures tends to be different. As a result of planned activities, were promoted the development of the international dialog, the improvement of the youth communication and social skills, awareness of the belonging to the European youth community, as well as were eliminated various common stereotypes in future. The project's main activity was the creation of graffiti gallery in Daugavpils, Lacplesa and Stacijas street intersection, in which the participants from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Austria, Romania and Latvia displayed their cultural heritage and European cultural diversity.
