The project titled “Less Digital, More Talk”, promoted by the Villafranca Giovane Association (ME), is a Study Visit under the KA1 - Programme Countries. The activities of the project were held in Villafranca Tirrena (Italy) from 03rd to 07th December 2015. The Project will involve Public Bodies and NGO coming from Italy, Spain, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Norway, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Latvia and Portugal. To the Study Visit took part 3 representatives from each countries, in total 36 participants, actively working with young people by offering them the opportunity to participate in activities and workshops in which they improved their skills and awareness of Youth thematics at European level and to experience and try new non formal methodologies. The project, was inspired by the main idea of the conscious use of new technologies and social networking, social inclusion and marginalization that comes from a huge use of social media, which expose young people to new forms loneliness. The main objective of the project was to promote a real way to communicate: the good practices are widely disseminated and to help young people to increase their sense of well-being, preventing antisocial behavior and reduce discrimination and exclusion phenomena and marginalization. The project had the aim to increase the knowledge and ability to protect young people when using Internet and particularly the social networks, including through mobile technologies available today, and to develop competences for youth workers, youth leaders, trainers and young people that contribute to a spirit of mutual understanding and respect of each other, to raise awareness of understanding of other cultures by offering them the opportunity to build international networks of contacts. The working methods utilized were based on the principles of non formal education which promotes the active learning, among youth workers and young people and the peer exchange of knowledge. The activities realized were: Presentation performed by each partner, Social Games, Workshop, Ice Breaking, Socializing Games, Round Table and learning moments, Working Group, Press Conference, Case Studies, Teambuilding Activities, Exchange of good practices, Networking, Evaluation, Intercultural Night, Moments of debates, Panel Discussion and Comparison. Furthermore this articulated project also has offered the space for establishment of new network and cooperation for future international youth projects.
