Les migrants
Start date: Aug 19, 2016, End date: Mar 18, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Title of this project: "Migrants".The objective of this educational project is to involve young people in the building of a Europe for its citizens, between France and Germany, and to make them exchange; a youth project based on integration, respect for the other, fraternity between peoples, whose topic - Migrants- will be dealt with in most activities. Debates on this topic will be organised several times during the project, as well as related to all proposed activities. Knowing how to be and how to do are objectives that will be expanded in all the project activities. Some activities common to the three meetings (A1, A2 and A3): - Activities related to drama (physical and vocal) training, improvisations, setting up scenes from different texts about the migrants, and linguistic activities. Specific activities (see below). -The participants will write a small scenario (Activity 1) from several texts about migrants; making sets, costumes and designing leaflets and posters.- Using digital technology : creating supertitles in A2 activity, a video will be realised on the theme "Migrants" in A2 and an other video on the repetitions of the sequences filmed in A3). All these activities are developped with informal and participation methods for interactive learning. An informal method: a bottom-up teaching practice. All that emerges from oneself is better memorised. That's why trainers make participants express themselves first from what they already know, by showing them the way, but telling them nothing: a play and interactive approach favouring group friendliness and cohesion, inviting participants to immediately come to action. Participants will estimate their own learning at the end of each stay. Numbers of participants : 12 young Germans and 12 young French from 18 to 30 with the same number of girls and boys. All the participants are graduated and one of them comes from an unpriviledged area. They are all freely taking part in this youth project. A1 takes place out of schooling time. Three residential cultural exchange working places whose choice can be justified by their own expanded specificity; Dates:- A1: First youth meeting, in Germany from 20 to 30 august 2016 in the Hesse region, in Kassel, in the Schauspielschule Kassel theater building: -making sets, costumes and sound effects, and designing leaflets and posters. -making a small scenario from some pieces of writing about the migrants.- A2 : Second meeting, in France, in Périgueux, A2 from 14 to 24 september 2016, in the Conference center theater and in the rehearsal hall in Chantérac, Coulounieix-Chamiers, Périgueux, Saint-léon sur l'Isle: -writing the supertitles, -shooting video sequences of rehearsals -A3 : Third meeting, in kassel, from 15 to 22 october 2016: shooting videp sequences of rehearsals. These three meetings between French and German young people, A1, A2 and A3 will result in the creation of an innovating bilingual show (in A2 and A3) about the topic "Migrants". In order to inform a possible audience about these French-German exchanges, we will organize public rehearsals in rural areas (Saint-Léon sur l'Isle, on 21 september) and literary activities on the work themes for adults, high-school pupils and students from both countries after each of the two performances. On 22 september from 3 pm to 5 pm with the cultural association called "Culture du Coeur", a rehearsal and a discussion session for an unpriviledged audience in vocational reinsertion training process will be realised. Final performance for any kind of audience : 23 september and 21 october 2016. We will hire qualified teaching professionals, and some students whose university courses deal with this special field are registrating to take part in this kind of meeting, so that it may thereafter enable a better professional insertion of the young and help the young participants who are not specialised to go further into learning work, and this being done in an active way on the meeting topic.
