Two young and comitted teachers of a GEPS school who strongly identfy themselves with the GEPS programe want to improve their english language skills. The teachers should enhance their language and methodical expertise and pupils can profit in future. During a language course for teachers they should develop their understanding and knowledge of the English language, gain confidence and fluency for speaking English in the primary classroom. They should select, devise and adapt materials for the primary classroom, adapt English songs, games and stories appropriate to the primary classroom. Mixed nationality classes allow to share ideas and experience with colleagues from other countries. In addition participants should refresh and extend their understanding and knowledge of English language and culture. The course includes a certificate. Participants will be asked to work on a project during their stay to allow them to reflect on the new ideas they have experienced and on how they will incorporate them into their teaching. Back in Austria SQA and team meetings and a conference will be held, contents of the language course should be passed on within the team.
