Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Váci Mihály Dormitory has taken part in different projects of the European Union since 2000. It has been important for us to give as much as we can to the students, and the national and international projects gave us a great opportunity to reach this goal. From September of 2014 we managed to start the „foreign language-team program” as a part of the organizational development, in order to use the knowledge of our teachers to help the students learn a foreign language, help them to learn the everyday usage of it. The program includes English, German, French, Italian and Russian and we would like to add Spanish. The experience of the first semester shows that there are more students than we can manage to receive. Furthermore the colleagues who only have a certificate need development in the area of communication and transfer of their knowledge. With this project the colleagues working in the foreign language team have a possibility to improve their communication skills. According to plan the institute can spare the teachers for 14 days. The foreign curse and the trainings would take place in Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Malta, Italy, Spain. The other part of the project would help to enlarge the knowledge of the young psychologist and socio-educationist colleagues helping our job. According to the plan they have the opportunity to see the functioning of the social provider system in Greece and Iceland within the confines of a job shadowing which would take 14 days in each country. The third part would be the development of the leadership competences and linguistic knowledge of the deputy director appointed in the fall of 2012. Throughout the journey to Romania there will be a chance for networking, receiving and giving new ideas, practicing and improving rapporting skills, etc. The aim of the language course which takes place in Western Europe is the improvement of the English knowledge. The countries would be Romania and Ireland. As the possible outcome of the project we trust that the professional and vocational work will increase and these results may be seen in other fields too. The most important is the attitude of teachers and students to learn a foreign language, the improvement of the achievements in school, increase of the number who would like to take a language certificate and make the students thin in foreign possibilities. The mobilities throughout the project would be the following: 1. June of 2015.: Gyömrei Ágota – Hajnóczy Luca: Ierapetra - Greece (job shadowing) 2. August of 2015.: Dr. Légmánné Dr. Timár Zsuzsanna: Siena – Italy (foreign organized curse, further training in Italian language for teachers of Italian) 3.
