LEONARDO 2014 SAN ROSSORE-MONTEARAGON
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

PROYECT: LEONARDO 2014 SAN ROSSORE-MONTEARAGON With this project, the I.F.P.E. Montearagon intends to continue its policy of modernization, innovation and opening to Europe initiated years ago through ERASMUS Program. Our Organization is situated in Huesca, Spain, and we teach studies in the following branches: Agrarian, Mechanical Manufacture, Health-Care and Preschool Education. We have 450 students enrolled this year. The company with which we wish to collaborate is PARCO REGIONALE MIGLIARINO, SAN ROSSORE, MASSACIUCCOLI. It is a Natural Park with European Diploma for Protected Areas which develops works in several fields like Restoration and Conservation activities, Forestry Defense, Fauna and Flora Monitoring and Environmental Education. We ask for 3 mobilities for students in traineeship and 3 mobilities for teachers to undertake professional experience in an enterprise. Through these mobilities we intend to improve the quality of our teaching. We consider this kind of program an excellent catalyst for academic, professional, cultural and personal achievements. The incorporation of learners to a workplace in another country increases their knowledge and professional skills as well as improving their knowledge of a foreign language, thus amplifying their possibilities of finding a job in Europe. These benefits are common to the teachers that (may) participate in the program. Another benefit we expect to get is the improvement of the image and projection of the Institution, as well as getting to be recognized in an international sphere. In addition, this year we intend/aim to encourage the participation of teachers. The objectives of this new stage are outstanding. On the one hand, the preparatory visits would improve the planning and coordination of the student traineeships. On the other hand, we also wish to work with European enterprises on a deeper level, in order to develop relationships which trigger the updating and interchange of knowledge and experiences. These might eventually be reflected in Research and Development collaborations such us Research or Environmental Education Projects. The development of these projects would enhance our educational offer and improve our teachers´ professional skills as well. Furthermore, the participation of teachers could result in additions or changes in the curriculum. The host enterprise would also benefit from the output of this type of programs, mainly with respect to prestige and projection. In addition, there would also be the added value of feedback information which we would share and which might eventually result in the development of Projects involving Research and Development or Environmental Education. These would be highly rewarding for both parts involved.
