Lehrerqualifizierung in den Bereichen Methodenvielfalt sowie IKT-Kompetenzen
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

At the Eckener-College an unabated tendency to integrate new media into the learning process can be discerned. The key causes are the needs to prepare for jobs with widespread usage of modern technology as well as to motivate technically-orientated youngsters. The project helps to develop the teachers' competence in this technological field. By enrolling for European media-courses the cross-cultural competence will also be improved. This is especially relevant for teaching in classes with mixed ethnic backgrounds and meets the growing demand in that field. A further education course will therefore help to discuss issue-specific matters with European course attendants and widen one's viewpoint . This will also augment foreign language-speaking abilities. Our students grow up in a world where notebooks (often their own) are taken to play, be entertained or communicate via social networks. Good teaching will utilise this interest in new media and gaming and integrate it into the learning process. In both fields of competence members of staff from diverse work fields will commit themselves to deepen their knowledge and disseminate it accordingly.
