The aim is to improve one's English and to use the English language in real life situations. This experience will have a positive effect on the English lessons and its use in classroom conversations. By staying in England the English culture can be experienced, which is a motivating experience for the teacher. The main emphasis of English taught as a foreign language is on the communication. In order to make the lessons enjoyable for the students, the teacher must be also given the chance to further and hone his or her English skills. Participating in a course in England would be a good opportunity to achieve this goal. The teacher who would take part in the course teaches English and French at our school. He is responsible for the school exchange programm at our school. His main emphasis is working on the development of the internationalization of our school. Furthermore, by participating in a teacher course in England, the teacher will get to know teachers from other European countries. This experience of meeting colleagues from other countries will be interesting and will allow the course participant to broaden his or her horizon. In addition, the course participant will learn a lot about the teaching situation in different countries, especially as far as English as school subject is concerned. Meeting teachers from different European countries may also be the beginning of contacts between schools and school partnerships or other projects. The course also offers the opportunity to learn about new teaching methods. Part of such a training in teaching methods is the use of modern media, which is vital for the modern classroom. Using modern media in one's lessons is part of every lesson. Our school is equipped with the interactive whiteboard. The teacher who participated in the course will pass on his newly acquired skills to the other English teachers but also to the whole teaching staff. Since we are a small school and since this is the first time we apply for an Erasmus+ grant, we only have one applicant this year. In case of a positive result the applicant will be able to share his positive experiences with his colleagues and he will try to encourage more cololeagues to apply for Erasmus+. The applicant fully supports and wholeheartedly embraces all the aforementioned goals.
