Lehrerausbildung und Schule in der beruflichen Bildung in der EU Struktur, Ausbildung, Unterricht, Inklusion und Netzwerkbildung
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

Summary of the projectThe mobility project is intended for trainees of the Teacher Training Colleges in Hanover and Brunswick (Vocational Training). The Teacher Training College in Hannover is the applicant and leader of the project. Two previous projects with 32 trainees were successfully organized:In 2012 and 2013: Vilar do Torno e Alentem / Lousada / Portugal and Irun- Bilbao / Spain. In 2014 and 2015: EUC - Syd Sonderborg / Denmark and SAMPO Lappeenranta / Finland. The new project shall continue this work and advance the networking of teacher training in Europe. In the long run the continuous exchange of teachers with European partners is planned. The trainees of the Teacher Training Colleges are facing major challenges related to the integration of vocational training in Europe. The introduction of EQF/DQF and ECVET means that they will be increasingly confronted with European systems of vocational training in the next years. To find out more about this topic during their training will enable them to cope with integration tasks more easily in their future schools. After the completion and evaluation of the mobility project the participants’ feedback can be useful and valuable for other trainees in the seminar. Topics such as educational methods, sustainability, educational institutions, vocational training and support systems in each country are dealt with. In particular, the topic “inclusion” at vocational schools (how to support students with special needs) is discussed during their stay. The trainees prepare their work abroad by planning specific lessons and projects. For the participating teacher trainers, who are responsible for the training in the colleges, international contacts are an important part of their work in Hanover and Brunswick. The internationalization of curricula, the development of international modules and teaching concepts, the experiences in the respective countries must be reviewed, developed and implemented. The mobility project offers a good opportunity to achieve these aims. In addition, the language skills of the teacher trainers improve.Lower Saxony and the Lower Saxony Ministry of Culture have a great interest in international experiences of its prospective teachers and supports projects of the Teacher Training Colleges.Goals:- Improving the vocational training- Comparing lessons and teaching methods by sitting in on lessons and teaching in the host country- Comparing curricula- Getting new ideas and helpful suggestions for the training of teacher trainees in Brunswick and Hannover- Integration of the EU countries, in particular in VET (Copenhagen process ) - > DQR / ECVET- Conveying information about the German “dual” system of vocational training and its advantages and disadvantages- Finding out about the working and living conditions of foreign fellow teachers- Teaching in a foreign school/ in a foreign system of education- Getting to know the training system in the host country and comparing it with Germany- Encouraging a mutual future project on "sustainability” in the classroomExpected Results:- Improvement of language skills- Knowledge about and experiences with the country and people in Spain and Norway- Comparison of the education systems in Germany, Spain and Norway- Comparison of curricula- Intercultural Competences- Reflection and reports on experiences and transfer- Getting new ideas and helpful suggestions for teaching- Implementation of projects abroad in the future teachers’ work- Transnational networks Participants:- 40 trainees of the Teacher Training Colleges Brunswick and Hanover- Head of school, teachers and students of the Norwegian vocational school- Head of school, teachers and students of Spanish vocational schoolWhen and where did the projects take place?Every autumn in different vocational schools:2012: 14 days in Vilar do Torno e Alentem/Lousada /Portugal2013: 14 days in Irun-Bilbao/Spain HETEL2014: 14 days at EUC-Syd Sonderborg/Denmark2015: 14 days at Saimaan ammattiopisto Sampo, Lappeenranta/Finland Where and when does the new project take place?2016: 14 days in Norway / Amot2017: 14 days Spain / Bilbao-Irun area
