Legends as a tourism enforcing instrument in the region Kula-Zajecar-Vidin

The strategy of the project follows the scientific policy. The project intends to implement a studies for common legends regarding the Roman Fortresses: Castra Martis (Kula), Gamzigrad - Romuliana (Zajecar) & Bononia / Baba Vida (Vidin) and marketing research for the touristic product, using them to develop a joint touristic product; to enrich and create touristic services in the cities Kula, Zajecar and Vidin, based on field study, supported by marketing expert and undergoing community debates at workshops; to implement a Promotion for the visibility and Placement of the Product, including attractive map, plates, web-portal, brochure, publications and advertising TV & Radio clip; to test practically the product through study tourist trip for touristic agents, media, local & central bodies representatives. Similar strategy for cultural tourism development is successfully implemented in the city of Marostica, region Veneto, Italy in the mid-twenty century. Achievements: Developing of a common touristic product for the Roman Fortresses: Castra Martis (Kula), Gamzigrad-Romuliana (Zajecar) & Bononia, Baba Vida (Vidin), based on Legend - "Joint tour & sightseeing of Vidin - Kula - Zajecar, based on the Legend for the three sisters - daughters of the Danubian King - Vida, Kula and Gamza";- Enriching touristic services through involving the small businesses in the project activities through organization of a variety of project events such as workshops and press-conferences on both sides of the border;- Promotion of the created cultural-historical tourism model (based on Legend), for the regions visibility in the other parts of Bulgaria and Serbia, including attractive map & plates, web-portal, promotional brochure with map, TV & Radio clip, publications in touristic catalogues, magazines,local and regional editions.
