Learning Languages at Lamminpää and Around the World

The objective is to encourage 2-4 language and class, or special teachers to go on a course abroad in order to improve their technical, language and cultural skills. With the improved skills they can better engage their pupils into technical projects with an international touch and an international audience. It is especially boys that we wish to engage more into language and cultural learning through technology; girls, on the other hand, enjoy writing and posting their work on-line. Our school is about to receive a wifi computer system: we need to get content and ideas for projects for the wireless system. Activities done with pupils will be a virtual book, on-line chats on Skype, sending e-mails, and writing a blog and posting photos on it. The long-term goal of the project is to make these new procedures everyday practises carried out during normal lessons, with our new partners abroad.
