Learning in action
Start date: Jun 1, 2015,
End date: May 31, 2017
The intended project is part of the overall professionalisation plan of our school. To become a bilingual teacher you have to master the English language. We aim at CAE and/or CPE. On that track the activities A1 and A2 are integral parts. Previous visits resulted in very enthusiastic teachers who got really inspired and changed their style of teaching. The visits abroad made them really aware of the fact that they are also a language teacher. The importance of bilingual education is signalled by the fact that already half of the newly enrolled pupils wants to do bilingual education equally distributed in the lower ability and the higher ability pupils. Research recently done by a teacher trainee on the results of tto learners from year 1 to 6 resulted in a very positive and open minded discussion amongst teachers of the HV unit. We aim at a similar positive effect as a result of the anticipated activities within this project.
