The Youth Department of city of Rovaniemi supports projects and activities for youngsters aged between 13-29 years, enabling the participation of as many young people as possible.The objectives include participation in the improvement of the living conditions of young people by co-operating across administrative, professional and municipal boundaries. The Youth Department of City of Rovaniemi are developing new youth work consept at the Youth Center Monde. Youth Centre Monde will be the center for the international youth work, center for the participation, center for the equal opportunities and open stage for the youngsters to create there own activity and beeing in active role of all stages at the process, planning, doing, evaluating and developing. International youth work consists of different project and programs, education, practical training and voluntary work for young people, information and guidance about international programmes, projects and EVS hosting, co-ordination sending posibilities and co-operation with twin cities of Rovaniemi. EVS project activity start 01.08.2016 and ending date is 31.07.2017. Project lasts 12 months. Name of the project is " Learning by experience, EVS project at Youth Center Monde 2016-2017. Project includes working with youngsters over 16 years till 29 years old at Youth Center Monde. Working tasks can be flexible and the volunteer can benefit her/his own intrests and know-how when planning the projects and activities. There will be methods to be used at the Youth Center such as: -Open activities at the Youth Center -Digitally Gaming house Montendo-Workshops-Happenings-Courses-Trainings-Group activities-Cultural Youth WorkVolunteer will be working at the Youth Center Monde, organizing all above activities at the Center with two other professional youth workers and also with other volunteers. We want the offer volunteers possibilities of learning by experience, and learning new way of participation at youth work.
