Start date: Feb 1, 2015,
End date: Jan 31, 2016
The project was born with the emergence of digital nomadism: the use of computer technology to carry out a professional online business regardless of where one is located. This innovative practice draws new professional and entrepreneurial perspectives for European youth . It conveys the development of an emerging and promising labor pool. The objective of the partnership is to introduce and train European youngsters to the practice of digital nomadism as a professional development tool.
7 organisms from France, Czech Republic, Italy , Bulgaria, Hungary , Portugal and Germany decided to create a strategic partnership including organizations active in the fields of education, training and youth, a special education center, a company and a public authority. A little more than 10,000 young people including a quarter of unemployed youngsters will take part in the project. At the end of it , they should be able to create their own digital business.
Activities include networking of young European digital nomads and the development and the exchange of good practices between them. This will lead to the development of approaches, tools and training material to digital nomadism, which will be validated during a training activity. Participants will be prepared there to the animation of dissemination activities. All of our activities are based non formal lerning methods.
The expected results are the development of digital skills, employability and entrepreneurship of young people in Europe and the creation of innovative training systems and youth support using their European dimension as a strenght to help youngsters intergrating a globalized labor market .
In the long term , the partnership aims to deepen, specialize and widen its activities by developing training for new target groups. It also aims at structuring and leveraging its outreach and dissemination to local, regional, European and international levels.
